Hello,
This morning after I woke up I drove 150 miles to Livermore, California where I took my car to the local Toyota dealership for its first routine service. I made the appointment a month ago figuring this is where I would go over 5000 miles. I figured it pretty good. The mileage was 5160. Over 3700 of that was from the last 15 days on this trip. It will need it's 10,000 mile check-up when I get home in three weeks.
The only place I planned to visit today was Mount Diablo State Park about 30 miles north of here. It took me forever to get there. My navigation sent me on a long tortuous route. Maybe the navigation picked this route because of a problem on the freeway, it was bumper to bumper on my drive back. I started to drive to the summit but the road was so awful I figured it would take another hour to get up there and after yesterdays extended journey I had had it with the mountain driving. So I turned around and left. I did snap a picture of the view from as far as I got.
So I headed for my hotel which was only twenty miles south. I am staying at the Hyatt Place in Dublin, California. Dublin is 37 miles east of San Francisco.
I got to the hotel at 2:00. I need the rest. Yesterday was fun but exhausting. I just got done eating dinner. Tonight I brought back food from Black Angus Steakhouse. I don't think I have ever eaten there. I had teriyaki grilled chicken, baked potato and macaroni & cheese. It was delicious.
I'm so afraid of coming back home and gaining weight that I don't eat anything all day and then eat what I want for dinner. As long as I keep busy during the day I don't get that hungry. But I'm missing out on a lot of free breakfasts at the hotel.
That's it for today,
Tim
