TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2012:
Tuesday morning I had a 7:00AM flight to Dallas, Texas on American Airlines.

I had a 13-hour layover at DFW so I rented a car for the day.
I spent the morning at Dealey Plaza.
Dealey Plaza, in the historic West End district of downtown Dallas,
is the location of the assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963.
I visited the Sixth Floor Museum located on the sixth floor of the Dallas County
Administration Building (formerly the Texas School Book Depository). The museum examines
the life, times, death, and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. It is located at the
very spot from where Lee Harvey Oswald, allegedly, shot and killed Kennedy.
In the afternoon I had some lunch and went to see the movie Argo.
It was then back to the airport for my 9:20PM flight to London.

Hello everyone, It's travel time again. I am on my way to London. I left Indy early this morning and flew to Dallas. I spent the day in Dallas. Very nice here. Sunny and upper 70s. Most likely the nicest weather I will see all trip. Below is a picture of Dealey Plaza, I visited here this morning.  I visited the Sixth Floor Museum in the former Texas Schoolbook Depository Building and looked out the window where Lee Harvey Oswald shot Kennedy. No pictures were allowed in there so I can't send any from there. I walked around downtown Dallas a bit. Unfortunately Reunion Tower is closed so I couldn't go up there.  After leaving downtown I drove back toward the airport and had lunch and went to see the movie Argo. I am now in the airport lounge waiting to board my overnight flight to London. I am going to spend 3 days in London and then take a transatlantic cruise home. The cruise lasts 14 days. Not the best time of year to go to London. It's supposed to be cold and rainy there. The main reason for booking this trip was price. I got the cruise for very little and used flyer miles for the flights. So this trip is costing me very little. I will write more from London, Tim |
