MY DAILY EMAIL SENT ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 12, 2008
Hello Everyone!

Today was the first day of my vacation. I had an early flight to Boston which left on time shortly after 7:00am. It was a two hour flight. After landing I took a cab to the Prudential Center in downtown. By the time I got to town it was about 10:00am which gave me about six hours to explore Boston before I had to head back to the airport for my flight across the Atlantic.

The first thing I did was go to the top of the Prudential Building for views of the city. Unfortunately it was not a very nice day, overcast and misting light rain. After snapping some gloomy shots of the city from up there I started my walk across the city. The first place I passed was the Bull & Finch Pub, the bar used in Cheers. I didn't see Norm anywhere. Then it was across Boston Common where I picked up the Freedom Trail which would take me to many historical spots like the State House, Old North Church, Bunker Hill and many other places. The weather did improve and it became a very nice afternoon. I walked as much of the trail as I could before the clock started to run out on me. I headed over to Long Wharf and spent a little time along Boston Harbor before grabbing a cab and heading back to the airport.

My flight out of Boston left right on time at 6:30pm. The attached picture is of downtown Boston looking back toward the Prudential Tower.

More Later,

Tim
