October 2, 1959 - June 19, 1964
CBS Science Fiction Anthology - 156 Episodes

Host:
Rod Serling

Some well-known actors appeared on Twilight Zone,
but it was the stories rather than the performers
that made the show work. Serling's original opening
narration to the show set the scene appropriately.
The opening: "There is a fifth dimension beyond that
which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as
space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle
ground between light and shadow, between science and
superstiition, and it lies between the pit of man's
fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the
dimension of imagination. It is an area we call
The Twilight Zone."
