Today I drove 160 miles from Lake George, New York to Waterbury, Vermont.
I checked into the Best Western Plus Hotel.

I spent Tuesday afternoon in Stowe, Vermont.
A few miles outside of Stowe is the Stowe Mountain Resort.
I rode the gondola to the top of the mountain.

Howdy Peoples, Today was another beautiful day. I didn't have that far to drive today. It was a scenic drive through rural Vermont.  I stopped at a couple of waterfalls along the way. But neither were very photogenic so I won't bore you with pictures. I arrived in Stowe around noon.  I took a very short walk along the main street in Stowe. I wanted to go further but my feet were being particularly spiteful today.  Next I drove out to the Stowe ski area which is about 15 miles from Stowe.  I rode the Stowe Gondola Skyride. It is a 12 minute ride to the top.  You get a nice view of the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont.  They need to put in some new glass in the gondolas. They are so scratched up you can barely see out the windows. I imagine it is from people hitting them with skis.  My final picture from today is from the top after I got off the gondola.  I'm staying in Waterbury, Vermont. It is about 12 miles south of Stowe. More to come, Tim |
