I began my 1990 summer vacation with a late
afternoon flight to Denver, Colorado.
After spending the night at a Denver hotel I headed
north to Estes Park (pictured above).
Starting with this trip I began taking more video.
These early videos are of lower quality.
When I took them I had no idea that I would ever show them publicly.
I spent a good part of the afternoon exploring
Rocky Mountain National Park.
After spending the night in Estes Park
it was off to Cheyenne, Wyoming.
The Wyoming State Capital is pictured above.
While in Cheyenne I got to see an air show.
After the air show I drove west on Interstate 80.
I spent the night in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
The next day I drove north to Jackson, Wyoming.
I spent the afternoon exploring the Grand Tetons.
The Jackson Hole Arial Tramway provided excellant views.
I spent the night in Teton Village.
The next morning I crossed the Tetons enroute to Idaho.
Pictured above is a pretty spot in Idaho's
Targhee National Forest.
I had lunch in Idaho Falls before driving west to Twin Falls.
Above is the Snake River Canyon near Twin Falls, Idaho.
The next day I headed south into Utah.
Pictured above is the Utah State Capital in Salt Lake City.
I spent the night in Provo, Utah.
The next day it was a LONG drive across the state of
Utah to Las Vegas, where I stayed at the new Mirage Hotel.
After a couple days in Las Vegas it was another LONG
drive across Utah to Grand Junction, Colorado.
After my first night in Grand Junction I took a scenic
excursion south. Pictured above is Ouray, Colorado.
This scenic stretch of road between Ouray and Silverton
has been nicknamed "The Million Dollar Highway."
Above is the rustic town of Silverton, Colorado.
After Silverton it was back up The Million Dollar
Highway to Grand Junction where I would spend my
final night of the trip before driving back to
Denver for the flight home.
