Bill Cosby continues to delight viewers in his role
as everyman Hilton Lucas, a family man in Queens,
New York, who, after being downsized from his job
as an airline employee, fills his days by questioning
life's absurdities and trying to help others solve
their problems. Hilton's loving and patient wife,
Ruth, runs the popular Flower Cafe, a neighborhood
coffee bar, with her quirky friend Pauline. Hilton
and Ruth's household includes daughter Erica, who
attends cooking school and helps out at the cafe,
and Griffin, who lives in the Lucas attic as he looks
for love and searches for his true calling. Hilton
also bestows his "wisdoms" on Jurnee, his
favorite neighborhood youngster.
