I took a tour of the island on a rainy day.
Our first stop was at the beach across from where the ship docked.
From there we to a boat cruise around the harbor.

MY DAILY EMAIL SENT ON JANUARY 13, 2015
Hello,

It was raining when we arrived in Roatan, Honduras this morning at 10:00. Roatan is an island 37 miles off the coast of mainland Honduras. The first place we visited on my tour was a pretty beach area across from where the ship is docked.

From the far point of the picture above we took a short boat cruise. It had stopped raining by the time we got on the boat. We sailed through the mangrove you see in the center of the picture above. We also sailed around our ship.

Docked directly behind us is the Costa Luminosa.

We also sailed past a ship wreck.

Next we drove to the east side of the island. By the time we got over there it was pouring rain. They put on a cultural performance for us over there.

From there it was back to the ship. By the time we got back to the port, the weather was now nice. I walked through the pretty little port area they have here. The usual tourist shops.

I then got back on the ship and had lunch. It is now 4:30 and we should be sailing away within the next half hour for our next port, Cozumel, Mexico.
