I drove 221 miles traveling between Sedona, Arizona and Page, Arizona on Saturday.

The highlight of my day was my visit to Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument
and Wupatki National Monument which can be seen in the video below.

Hello folks,

I can't remember the last time I saw a cloud. The weather continues to be perfect. This morning I left Sedona. I saw some more red rocks as I left town. Below is Bell Rock.

I stopped in Flagstaff for lunch and then continued my drive north. My next stop was at Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.

Below is a picture of the Sunset Crater Volcano.

Sunset was the first of two national monuments in the area. There is a forty mile loop road which connects the two.

The second monument was Wupatki.

The park has several ruins of old Pueblo dwellings.

After I finished with the national monuments it was a 100 mile drive further north to Page. It was a scenic drive all the way. The picture below was taken along US89 about 20 miles south of Page.

Page is a small town along the Utah/Arizona border on Lake Powell. If you look close in the picture below you can see the Glen Canyon Dam and Bridge.

This is where I am spending the night, at the Lake Powell Resort. I have a nice room overlooking the lake.

Below is the Wahweap Marina here at the resort. I am taking a boat cruise from there in the morning.

It looks like they have the lawn here at the hotel all set up for an Easter egg hunt. Happy Easter everyone.

EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 16, 2017:

The highlight of my Easter was a cruise on Lake Powell which can be seen in the video below.

Hello again everyone,

I hope you all had a nice Easter. Weather really took a bad turn here. Late this afternoon I saw a couple white puffy clouds. I had scheduled a three hour boat cruise for 9:00am this morning. But they canceled it due to lack of interest. They had a shorter cruise leaving at 10:30 so I took that one instead. I spent my extra time at the hotel watching the Easter Egg Hunt right outside my window.

The Easter Bunny was also at the event. I had to go cuss him out for not bringing me any marshmellow bunnies for the fiftieth year in a row.

My boat cruise took me through Antelope Canyon.

This is the third time I have taken a Lake Powell cruise here. Twenty years ago I took one all the way to Rainbow Bridge. That one took all day.

This cruise only lasted ninty minutes.

After the cruise I got some pictures of Glen Canyon Dam and Bridge. I toured the dam the last time I was here back in 2010.

Below you can see the Colorado River snaking through the gorge just east of the dam. This is where I began my raft trip back in 2010.

Next I drove back to Flagstaff where I am spending the night.
