Movie stars Howard Duff and Ida Lupino were married
to each other in real life at the time they played
husband-and-wife film stars in this series. Happenings
at the studio, fights with the studio boss J.B. Hafter,
negotiations and dealings with their agent Steve, and
the good and troublesome sides of their home life were
all shown in Mr. Adams and Eve. Though exaggerated for
comic effect, many of the stories were based on actual
situations that had happened to Duff and Lupino.
